Why are images blocked in my email?

Email messages sometimes contain images that are used to notify the sender that your email address is valid. This can cause you to receive more junk mail.

To try to reduce the amount of junk mail inyour Inbox, the default in your mailbox options has been set to block external images when you view HTML messages. If you have not made changes to your mailbox options, the image block for HTML messages is enabled. Images received as attachments are unaffected.

If you would prefer to view the images, see How do I change whether images are blocked in my email?
