What is basic service?

Basic service generally includes your local network stations, such as local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and PBS affiliates, plus public, educational, and government access channels and a few select national networks. View the channel lineup for a listing of the basic channels in your area.

The HD versions of the channels are also included. To receive HD channels, you need an HD converter.
