What is an HDMI to DVI cable?

HDMI to DVI Cable

This cable has an HDMI connection at one end and a DVI connection at the other. This cable is most often used when an HDMI connection is needed with a TV that does not have an HDMI port. For example, you might use this setup to connect the HDMI port on an HD Spectrum Receiver to a DVI port on an HDTV.
