Account & Billing

What is a partial month charge or a recent service change charge?

Prorated amounts are the result of changes made to your service.

Since you are billed a month in advance, any changes made during the middle of your billing period, would result in a prorated amount on your bill. As a result, you may see multiple entries listed for a service.

For example, if you added a premium channel to your TV service like HBO 8 days before the end of your billing period, your next billing statement will reflect a prorated charge for the 8 days of HBO plus the month in advance charge for HBO.
