What is the outbound email policy?

We are determined to try to protect you from spam, email viruses, and other unwanted email, so there is a limit on the number of outgoing emails that you can send per day from the outbound email servers.

You can send email to 1,000 recipients per day per IP on the outbound email servers.

Once you reach the limit, your email is refused by the email servers for the next 24 hours. To notify you, you receive an error message:

ERROR:5.7.1:550 Outbound Mail Refused - YOUR_IP_ADDRESS See
http://help.rr.com/outboundemail - DATE_OF_BLOCK

Email can have up to 99 recipients total in the To and CC fields.

The average user sends email to fewer than 50 recipients per day, so most customers have no reason to be concerned about this limit. If you find out about the limit because you received the above error message and know that you did not intentionally send email to more than 1,000 recipients in one day, it is possible you have a virus on your computer that directs it to send spam.
