How can I mirror Spectrum TV App content on my TV?

You can use your Android, Kindle, or iOS mobile device to send the programming from the Spectrum TV App to your compatible TV using the Cast feature or Apple AirPlay mirroring. You can also connect your mobile device directly to your TV's HDMI connection.

You must be connected to your In-home WiFi when sending programming to your TV.

Android Cast

You can select the Cast option on your Android device or Kindle tablet to play Spectrum TV App programming on your Chromecast or Android TV (Android OS 4.0 and higher only).

To send programming to your Chromecast or Android TV:

  1. Ensure that your mobile device and your TV are connected to your In-home WiFi network.
  2. Open the Spectrum TV App on your mobile device.
  3. From your Android device or Kindle, select Settings.
  4. Tap Display, and then select Cast.
  5. Select the TV you want to cast to.

You can select the program you want to watch before or after you Cast.

Apple Airplay

While watching live TV or On Demand programming on the Spectrum TV App, you can AirPlay from an iOS device to an Apple TV (iOS 9.0 and higher only).

To send programming to your Apple TV or Mac using AirPlay:

  1. Ensure that your mobile iOS device and Apple TV or Mac are connected to your In-home WiFi network.
  2. Open the Spectrum TV App on your mobile device.
  3. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open the Control Center.
  4. Select AirPlay Mirroring, and then select your Apple TV or Mac computer from the list. If prompted, enter your AirPlay passcode.

You can select the program you want to watch before or after you turn on AirPlay.

HDMI Connection

You can also connect an iOS or Android mobile device directly to the HDMI port of your TV to mirror Spectrum TV App content on your TV. Just connect an HDMI cable from your iOS, Android, or Kindle device to a compatible TV (Chromecast or Android, or Apple TV).

  • An additional adaptor may be necessary to connect your device to the HDMI cable.
  • There is no need to select a mirror or cast option; connecting the cable will suffice.
  • As with Cast and AirPlay, you must be connected to your In-home WiFi when sending programming to your TV.
