I was browsing the Internet and received the following error message: 400 - Bad Request. What does it mean?

The website or URL address you entered is not accepted as correct by your browser. The server may not recognize the Web page or document you are asking for, or the page or document may no longer exist. It could also be a correct address, but you may not be authorized to access it.

What You Can Do

  • Double-check the name of the website to ensure that it is spelled correctly.
  • Check colons, periods, slashes, and tildes.
  • Go to another website, and then try again to access the website for which you received the error message.
