What is FireWire?

FireWire, also known as IEEE 1394, is a connection device primarily used for high speed data transfer, similar to the function of a USB cable. On some devices, FireWire can also be used as a video connection device. FireWire is common on Mac computers and some personal electronic devices.

FireWire ports are currently disabled on all Spectrum Receivers.
