Checking for an Outage in Your Area

You can use the My Spectrum app or sign in to your Spectrum account online to check for a known outage.

To check for an outage using the My Spectrum app:

  1. Open the My Spectrum app.
  2. If requested, enter the Username and Password for your Spectrum account.
  3. Select the Equipment.
  4. Please wait while the app attempts to establish a connection with your equipment.
    • A green circle containing a check mark is displayed for each piece of equipment if you have power and there is no outage.
    • Yellow circles are displayed if the equiment cannot be reached.
    • If there is a known cable outage, a service interruption message is displayed when you return to the Dashboard.
  5. If the service interruption message is displayed, select Notify Me to receive an app alert or a phone call when your service is restored.

To check for an outage online:

  1. Sign in to your online account.
  2. Under Account & Billing, select Check Service Status.
  3. The Check Service Status page opens, displaying a list of your equipment.
    • If there are any outages in your area, an alert such as the following is displayed near the top of the page: "A service disruption is your area has been detected and we are working diligently to resolve the issue."
    • If there are no outages no alert is displayed, and you can review the connection status of your equipment.
