How do I connect a Canon printer to a Wireless Network?

To connect to a wireless network:

  1. Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel to select Settings, and then press OK.
  2. Select Wireless LAN setup, and then press OK.
  3. Select Yes, and then press OK.
  4. When prompted to activate Wireless LAN, press Yes.
  5. Press OK. When the wireless connection is enabled, the Wi-Fi lamp glows blue.
  6. Select Easy settings, then press OK.
  7. Select the desired network you wish to connect and press OK.
  8. If necessary, enter the password and security information.

If you have set your network security scheme to restrict device connections based on their MAC Address, the following steps may help find the MAC address for your printer.

Finding the Wireless MAC Address

The Mac address is on the back of the printer.

  • A physical label is affixed containing information including the MAC address.
  • The MAC address is sometimes called a physical address.

To find the MAC Address in the menu:

  1. Press Home.
  2. Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel to select Settings, and then press OK.
  3. Select Device Settings, and then press OK.
  4. Select LAN Settings, and then press OK.
  5. Select Confirm LAN settings, and then press OK.
  6. Select Wireless LAN settings list. The MAC Address is listed on this screen.
