Choosing the Number of Rings Before a Call Goes to Voicemail or Is Forwarded

If you activate the Forward Calls When No Answer feature, you can set the phone to ring from 1 to 10 times. You can also choose to forward calls to another number rather than Voicemail.

This feature enables you to forward calls to Voicemail or to another number when the call isn't answered. You can also set the number of times the phone rings before calls are forwarded.

If you want to use this feature, Forward All Calls cannot be active at the same time. Forward All Calls overrides this feature.

To enable Forward Calls When No Answer:

  1. Sign in to My Services.
  2. Select Manage Phone Features.
  3. For Call Forwarding, select (edit).
  4. Select Forward Calls When No Answer.
  5. Select On.
  6. Select the number of rings before forwarding from the drop-down list.
  7. Choose where you want to forward unanswered calls:
    • Voicemail.
    • A new number that you enter.
    • A number you've used previously, which you select from a drop-down list.
  8. Select Save Changes.
