Checking the Status of Your Equipment Online

You can check the status of your Spectrum Receiver or modem using your online Spectrum account:

To check your equipment status with the My Spectrum app:

  1. Open the My Spectrum app and sign in if necessary.
  2. Select Equipment. Your equipment check is under way.
    • A green check mark indicates your equipment is communicating with our network and should be working as expected.
    • A red X indicates that your equipment failed to respond.
    • If there is a cable outage, a message is displayed, indicating a service disruption. Select Notify Us to get a push notification or a phone call when your service is restored.

To check the status of your equipment on the website:

  1. Sign in to your Spectrum online account.
  2. Under Account & Billing, select Check Service Status. The Check Service Status page opens, displaying your equipment and its connection status:
    • A check mark indicates the equipment is communicating and services should be working properly.
    • An X means that there's no communication with the equipment, and services are affected.
    • An exclamation point indicates that the connection status is unknown.

If there's an outage in your area, you'll see a message such as "An outage in your area has been detected, and we are working diligently to resolve the issues."
