How do I change which columns are displayed in my email Inbox?

You can choose some of the columns you want to display in the message list in your Web Mail Inbox and mail folders. All options are displayed by default:

  • Message type. The Message type column displays either a closed or open envelope to indicate whether you have viewed an email.
  • Priority. This setting and Sensitivity are options you can set when sending email.
  • Sensitivity.
  • Size.
  • Date.

To change the columns displayed in your email Inbox:

  1. In your Internet browser, enter https://mail.brighthouse.com, and complete the login process. The Inbox page opens.
  2. Click Settings. The Settings page opens.
  3. Under Customize mailbox options, click Update message display. The Message Display page opens.
  4. Under Columns to display, select or clear the check box for each of the following items according what you want to display in your message list:
    • Message type.
    • Priority.
    • Sensitivity.
    • Size.
    • Date.
  5. Click OK. The items you selected will be displayed when you view the message lists in your Inbox and folders.

Did You Know?

You can also change the number of messages that are displayed in the message list. On the same page under Messages per Page to display, select from the drop-down list the number of messages to be displayed per page. The default is 25, and the options range from 10 to 200.
