What if I experience buffering, freezing, or playback issues while viewing content on SpectrumTV.com?

Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve streaming issues.

  1. Turn your computer or mobile device off, and turn it back on again. This also resets your wireless connection.
  2. Refresh your web browser and clear temporary files, cookies, and history.
  3. If you are using the Spectrum TV app, uninstall and reinstall it. Then sign in and try again.

You could also have a weak wireless signal. Here are some tips that can help you resolve signal strength issues.

  • Make sure your router is centrally located in your home, because the signal weakens over distance. Also, the higher your router is placed, (on a table or shelf rather than the floor) and the fewer objects near it, the better the signal can travel.
  • Keep other electronic devices out of the way of the router. Older microwaves with poor shielding are especially troublesome.
  • Are you close to your neighbors? This can cause channel overlap and a weaker signal.
  • Keep your router’s firmware up to date, and check its security settings.
  • Check whether other family members are also using WiFi, which cuts the signal strength. Also, avoid large downloads during waking hours.
