Can I block calls from specific numbers on my Home Phone?

Yes. You can use the Selective Call Blocking feature.

With Selective Call Blocking, you can use your My Services account to block calls to your Home Phone from phone numbers that you specify. When a call is blocked:

  • Your Home Phone does not ring.
  • The caller receives the following message: "The called party is not accepting calls from this number."
  • The call is never forwarded and never goes to Voice Mail.
  • The call is not displayed via Caller ID and is not displayed in any recent calls list for your Home Phone.

Selective Call Blocking cannot be activated or canceled using your Home Phone or Easy Gadget. You must use your My Services account.

To activate Selective Call Blocking:

  1. On the main toolbar, click . The My Services page opens.
  2. Sign in to your My Services account.
  3. In the Phone section, click Manage Phone Features. The Home Phone Online Tools page opens to the Phone Feature Settings tab.
  4. Click Call Blocking.
  5. In the Call Blocking section, select Block calls from select numbers.
    • If you want to listen to the message for blocked callers, click .
  6. In the Select Numbers text box, enter a 10-digit number you would like to block, and click . The number is added to the list.
  7. Repeat Step 6 for each number you want to block.
    • Selective Call Blocking and Selective Call Forwarding have a combined maximum of 30 numbers allowed to be entered between the two lists. For example, if there are 20 numbers on the Selective Call Forwarding list, there can only be up to 10 numbers on the Selective Call Blocking Select Numbers list.
  8. In the Features Overview section, click . A message is displayed, stating that your changes have been saved.

To cancel Selective Call Blocking for all blocked numbers:

  1. On the main toolbar, click . The My Services page opens.
  2. Sign in to your My Services account.
  3. In the Phone section, click Manage Phone Features. The Home Phone Online Tools page opens to the Phone Feature Settings tab.
  4. Click Call Blocking.
  5. In the Call Blocking section, clear the Block calls from select numbers check box.
  6. In the Features Overview section, click . A message is displayed, stating that your changes have been saved.

To cancel Selective Call Blocking for a specific number:

  1. In the Select Numbers section, locate the number for which you would like to cancel Selective Call Blocking, and click .
  2. In the Features Overview section, click . A message is displayed, stating that your changes have been saved.
