How do I block spam?

Blocking Spam

If you want to block mail from a particular email address, you can do so from your email Inbox or from within an open email.

To block spam from your email Inbox:

  1. Select the check box next to the email you want to block.
  2. Click Block. A pop-up page opens, asking you to select the email addresses and domains to add to your list of blocked senders with a list of possible addresses to block.
  3. Select all that you want blocked.

To block spam from within an open email:

  1. Click the X inside the stop sign in the From field. A pop-up page opens, asking you to select the email addresses and domains to add to your list of blocked senders with a list of possible addresses to block.
  2. Select all that you want blocked.

Blocked messages from that address and/or domain from then on are sent directly to the deleted folder.

  • There is a limit of 50 to the number of blocks on the blocked senders and domains list for each email address. Once you get to that limit and try to add another address or domain to the blocked senders and domains list, you receive a message that indicates that the entry was not added because you reached your maximum quota limit of allowed and blocked lists combined.

To unblock an address, open the Deleted Items folder and select a message from that address. Click Allow, and then click OK.
