How do I ensure that email from Bright House Networks is not designated as spam?

Depending on the email provider or client (software) that you are using, you may need to add Bright House Networks to your address book or a safe sender list, or you may need to designate that email from Bright House Networks is not spam. Following are directions for various email providers and clients.

Road Runner Web Mail

If email from Bright House Networks has been sent to your Junk Mail folder, you can mark that email as "not spam," and future emails from Bright House Networks will be delivered to your Inbox.

  1. From your Road Runner account, open your Junk Mail folder.
  2. Select the email that includes mybrighthouse.com in the address.
  3. Click Mark as Not Spam. The email is moved to your Inbox. Future emails from Bright House Networks will be delivered to your Inbox.
    • You can also add Bright House Networks as a contact to ensure that email from Bright House Networks is not designated as spam.

Gmail

If email from Bright House Networks has been sent to your Spam folder, you can designate that email as "not spam," and future emails from Bright House Networks will be delivered to your Inbox.

  1. From your Gmail account, open your Spam folder.
  2. Select the email from Bright House Networks (care.brighthouse.com).
  3. Click Not spam. The email is moved to your Inbox, and Bright House Networks is added to your Safe Contact list.
    • You can also add Bright House Networks as a contact to ensure that email from Bright House Networks is not designated as spam.

Hotmail

If you use Hotmail, you can add Bright House Networks as a Safe Sender.

  1. From the Windows Live Hotmail toolbar, select Options, and then select More Options (or just Options if you use Windows Live Hotmail classic).
  2. Under Junk E-mail, click Safe and Blocked Senders.
  3. Click Safe Senders.
  4. In the Mark as Safe text box, enter the Bright House Networks domain (care.brighthouse.com).
  5. Click Add to list.

Outlook

If you use Outlook, you can add the Bright House Networks domain to your Safe Senders List.

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select an email you received from Bright House Networks.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Junk E-mail, and then select Add Sender's Domain (@example.com) to Safe Senders List.
    • You can also add Bright House Networks as a contact to ensure that email from Bright House Networks is not designated as Junk E-mail.

Yahoo

If you use Yahoo, you can add Bright House Networks to your address book as a contact.

  1. From your Yahoo account, open an email you received from Bright House Networks.
  2. To the right of the sender's name, click Add to Address Book.
  3. Verify or add Bright House Networks contact details.
  4. Click Add to Address Book.

AOL

If you use AOL, you can add Bright House Networks as a contact to ensure that email from Bright House Networks is not designated as spam.

  1. From your AOL account, note the address of an email you have received from Bright House Networks.
  2. From the Mail Options drop-down list, select Address Book. Your address book opens.
  3. Click Add (or click Add Contact if you are using AOL 8). Contact information is displayed.
  4. In the Other E-Mail text box, enter the Bright House Networks email address you noted in Step 1.
  5. In the Screen Name text box, enter Bright House Networks.
  6. Click Save.
