What are analog audio cables?

Analog audio cables, also commonly known as RCA, stereo, or composite audio cables, provide a basic two-channel (left and right) audio connection. The cables are color coded with one red connection and one white connection.

Analog Audio Cables

These audio cables can be used alongside any video connection that requires separate audio cables. When purchasing video cables, analog audio cables are often included.

While analog audio cables provide stereo sound, they cannot provide Surround Sound. For Surround Sound setups, use HDMI or digital audio cables.
